CORAL Dolphin Spirit 17 Guidance

In Episode 17, Chapter 17, the marine friends explore the possibility of creating a legal safeguard around the Great Barrier Reef. They discuss the options and agree to craft a list of Basic Marine Animal Rights. While it is one thing to adopt human style laws, it is important to acknowledge that basically, the marine world abides by the laws of nature, not by human made laws.

CORAL Dolphin Spirit 16 Application

Episode 16 introduces Balaclava, the seasoned Humpback whale to the circle of friends. Balaclava wants to dive the Deep Sound Channel and take his nephew, Hamilton, who will have to be taught how to dive that deep. Fraser, the young dolphin wants to dive too but is reminded by his father, Mackay, that for a dolphin a deep dive is not safe.

In Episode 15, chapter 15, the story takes an exciting turn by Aunt Airlie's question, how to block the reef. Coral picks up on the idea and events start to roll quickly. Only Smith the grouper is not quite convinced yet.

In Episode 14 the conference of the marine animals takes a new turn. The sharks push for the need to Block the Reef and with that seem to plant an idea in Coral's head.

CORAL Dolphin Spirit 13 Diversity

Diversity is the theme of chapter 13 and as we still are at the conference, in this episode we'll listen to the complaints by a diverse variety of marine creatures. The immense variety of species is the living mosaic of the Great Barrier Reef, a once functioning ecosystem where each creature has a role to play to sustain the whole.

In Episode 12 we hear the old potato cod talking about the problem of shipping traffic in the reef, and other marine animals voice their specific concerns, like pollution, rubbish and the dumping of sea bed.

Episode 11 is the start of the marine creatures' conference at Magnetic Island. Migaloo, the albino Humpback whale opens the conference. The marine friends experience a noisy disruption, but the song Save the Reef saves the day!

Part 2, The Conference. In Episode 10 we are introduced to Magnetic Island. In the waters around the island, the big marine conference is going to take place. Cockle, the white capped Noddy, notices an unusual commotion in the ocean.

In Episode 9 we listen to our last chapter of Play Day, Part 1 of CORAL. Coral and Fraser meet up with their cousins. The young dolphins discuss the reason for the upcoming conference. We hear for the first time how industry in the Great Barrier Reef badly effects the marine creatures.

In Episode 8 our marine friends get together to have a rest after a days' travel. Lady Elliot reunites with her son Elliot, and Magnetic discovers a new side to her daughter, Coral. The marine creatures wonder whether the status of the Great Barrier Reef as a World Heritage area would protect the reef from further destruction.
